Snorkelling & Scuba Diving
The waters surrounding Dirk Hartog Island are unique as they are the meeting point of the southern cold water species of marine life and the warm tropical waters of the northern marine life.
The combination of amazing marine life and crystal clear water means that there are some truly breathtaking snorkeling sites to be found around Dirk Hartog Island. The two commonly known snorkelling sites on the island are Surf Point and Sandy Point. Both provide beautiful corals and over 300 fish species.
Diving at Dirk Hartog Island is particularly exceptional, due to the fact that it is one of the few places in the world that has not been fully explored. The two sanctuary zones on the island offer pristine dive sites with prolific coral and marine life. Other diving highlights include coral bommies, large swim throughs, canyons, caves and live shells
The Lodge's privately owned Charter Vessel, the 'Eendracht' provides the perfect platform for scuba divers and snorkelers.
