Island Life Festival

Dirk Hartog Island, Western Australia

Thursday 17th Sept - Monday 21st Sept 2020

A celebration of life on an island paradise. Island Life is a five day culinary adventure in one of the most unique off-grid destinations in Australia; Dirk Hartog Island. Set in the stunning waters of the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, it's an intimate festival for lovers of good food and wine, music, nature and outdoor experiences.

Over five remarkable days, you'll discover the truly relaxing vibe that the island's known for. Soak up the natural beauty, indulge in food and wine by WA's best chefs, laze by the beach, spot whales, marvel at the stars and breathtaking sunsets. Go adventuring around the island, snorkel, kayak or fish in the pristine waters that surround it. Discover the rich indigenous history of the Nhanda and Malgana people, and forage for native produce with local legend and cultural custodian, Darren "Capes" Capewell, of Wula Gura Nyinda Eco Adventures. Hear the story of the Europeans who first made landfall here in 1616 in search of spices, for the Dutch East Indian Company.

Top WA chefs, Russell Blaikie (Must Wine Bar) and George Cooper (Tiller Dining) will keep your belly's and glasses full with the freshest Gascoyne produce, Shark Bay seafood and top WA wines and beers. From clifftop sundowner drinks to seafood paella by the campfire, and long table lunches by the beach, there'll be plenty of time to soak up all that island life entails.

Get away from it all this September. Book now.
